The eventual winners took different routes to the title. Both men's and women's finals were an all-Norwegian affair.
Rudshagen, who led the 70-player men's field in qualifying with 2213 pinfall total and an average of 245.89 for nine games, earned the No. 3 seed for the five-player stepladder finals with a 670 3-game series in men's Round 3.

In a high-scoring opening round, Rudshagen (245) topped defending champion Petter Hansen (238) and Martin Olsen (233) to advance to the semifinal match. Rudshagen edged last year's runner-up, Mads Sandbækken (left), by two pins, 194-194 for the right to bowl top seeded Frode Olaussen for the title.
