In an all-Korean championship match, top seeded Kim Hyun Mi and Park Ju Young (pictured with the gold medals) easily defeated their team mates Choi Hae Yun and Sim Ui Jin, 478-359, to cruise to the title.

It was the second gold medal for the Korean women in as many events and the third (out of four) for the Korean team. Singles champion Park claimed her second gold medal of the championships while Sim got her second silver medal.

The Korean duos finished the six-game preliminaries in first and third place setting up semifinal matches against the spinners from Chinese Taipei, who finished second and fourth.

In the title match Kim fired another 268 and Park added 210 to seal the victory well before the final frame.
