RealityCheckLogo.jpgReality Check Foundation, a non-profit organization targeting troubled youths, is holding their First Annual Teen Bowling event on March 27th from 1-4pm at Shore Lanes in Palm Bay, according to Joseph Reilly, vice president of Reality Check Foundation.

The purpose is to introduce at-risk teens to fun and positive alternatives to misguided activities that encourage criminal behavior.

"Reality Check offers parents and guardians a unique program that instills 'cause and effect' experience to youths who may be venturing down the wrong path," stated Reilly. "We offer a three-hour program designed to open the eyes of teens and young adults as well as a DVD film version of the program; private classes and private one on one programs are also available."

The organization plans to take 160 teens for the free bowling outing and includes opening remarks by company president Lawrence Lawton, a Bronx native and former convicted felon, who helped create Reality Check last year to provide a persuasive look at life behind bars to those at-risk teens and young adults.

Their programs are available to groups, schools and corporations as well as one-on-one consultations.

According to Reality Check Foundation, Lawton's programs, hailed as the only program of its kind in the nation, are highly recommended by police chiefs, judges, prosecutors and state attorneys as a viable alternative to avoiding incarceration.

Sponsorships are slated to cover the cost of the event with Alpizar Law Firm as the signature sponsor this year. For more information visit www.realitycheckprogram.org.
