CTF names Lagrange, Lambert 2009 Canadian Bowlers of the Year

The Canadian Tenpin Bowling Federation (CTF) has announced the 2009 Bowlers of the Year for adult male and female, senior female and junior male and female bowlers.
Caroline Lagrange, Notre-Dame de Pins, Quebec and George Lambert IV, Hamilton, Ontario, were named in the adult division.
Lagrange (pictured left) won the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup and the women's gold medal at the 2009 National Championships. Lambert (right) also won gold at the 2009 National Championships and finished in second place at the PBA Tour trials which earned him a spot on the 2009-10 Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour. Both bowlers broke several records in their national championships wins.
This is the fourth Bowler of the Year award for Lagrange. She previously won in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Senior Women Bowler of the Year Lauraine Fast, Calgary, Alberta finished first in senior All Events at the National Mixed Championships and earned a silver medal in Senior Doubles at the Tournament of the Americas.
Alexandre Thivierge, St. Zotique, Quebec and Kodee Pilling, Lethbridge, Alberta are the youth Bowlers of the Year. Thivierge earned gold in doubles and all events and bronze in team at the National Youth Championships and a silver team medal at the Tournament of the Americas.
Pilling earned gold in all events and singles at the National Youth Championships. Bowling for Canada, she won silver in team and bronze in doubles and masters at the Pan American Youth Championships and bronze in doubles and team at the Tournament of the Americas. Pilling earned Youth Bowler of the Year in 2007.
The Canadian Tenpin Federation was formed in 1969 to qualify representatives for international competition. . CTF became a full membership organization on August 1, 2004 to deliver membership services to 40,000 plus registered tenpin bowlers in Canada.
Membership services had previously been provided by the American Bowling Congress, the Women's International Bowling Congress and the Young American Bowling Alliance who were headquartered in the USA.
